FENS Northern Europe Networking Task Force organizes a webinar “Cross Validation of Dietary Surveys across Countries” on 11th March 2025 (CET 1-4 pm)

Many European countries have regular dietary surveys, with the aim of describing and analysing food consumption patterns and dietary intakes. These data are needed to identify specific challenges for certain nutrients, foods or population groups. Further, these data can be used to develop food and nutrition policy. Combining data from several countries would give more and important insights into the regional or European level, but the main challenge is how to harmonize data before merging.

The three expert speakers at the seminar will address the challenges of measuring dietary intake in different populations and using different methods. The aim is to open a discussion on how we could harmonize dietary survey tools, and thus conduct research that combines datasets across national and cultural boundaries. In addition, how to make better use of existing data in research will be discussed. The last part of the webinar consists of an interactive panel discussion with speakers, moderators and attendees.

More information and registration link can be found in FENS website.
